Thao and the Kids are Back

You can tell, I’m just happy, and let couple days (without blogging) to let the joy sinks in. Hahaha. I arrived to the airport few minute late, but could not forget this beautiful image: the kids recognized me entering the slide door. Grace was running toward me and leaping up into my arms, while little Benjamin was in little steps running behind. He is so cute. Ben wanted me to hold him the whole time, though he didn’t say anything much. Thao is fine as well. Oh how I miss them!!! I miss my chatty daughter. She has all of these wonderful stories from her trip to tell me, and I really enjoy listening. She seems to have the most fun from the trip.

The kids are adapting to the time difference well. Though the next morning Grace was up around 6-7AM the next morning, wide awake and wants to go play or watch something. I was too sleepy because I was up late cleaning up, and prepared slides and prints for Sunday service until 2-3PM.

I saw lots of pictures from my Dad’s camera. Lots of changes around town, especially around the house where we used to live in. There is no more yard, or guava trees, or the chayote vines that I mentioned before. Neighbor houses pop up around our old house like mushrooms. The old house was being rebuilt, and my uncle did a great job. It looks very nice, and clean. I saw pictures of familiar faces of relatives, as well as friends from church. I heard stories, so many wonderful stories, that make me jealous and wish I were there. And then, of course, we enjoy the snacks that my wife and my mom brought back. Hahaha…

Grace resumes her schooling this morning. She had a cough yesterday so we let her stay home and rest. Things are getting back to normal. A house is now a home! I enjoy my wife home cook again, and it’s wonderful. It beats my cooking no doubt. Hahaha.
