That’s the main mission of Mark Johnson, the creator of PlayingForChange.com. I just recently found out about his website from one of blogs I usually read. He travels places, bringing only laptop and some recording to record different music from various known and unknown artists around the world.  He has made several episodes, and you should definitely check them out from the website: http://www.playingforchange.com or the Youtube Channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/PlayingForChange 

These songs are not emphasizing uniqueness of music, or styles, or cultures, but the promoting peace and connecting people through the universal language, music!!  I think it’s a wonderful project, and it’s beautifully done.
