Local News
Our local Christian radio station KBIQ held a party near the Chapel Hill in the north end of town. There were many activities for kids (and adults) like Marty the Moose, bouncing house, portrait sketch, balloon animals. Best of all, there were lots of foods, and they were free. There were cake, popcorn, pizza, chick-fil-a, and bottle soda. The main event actually was for the drawing for 2-year lease of a new Hyundai  Santa Fe, and his-and-hers scooters.  As a radio listener with  bumper sticker on our car, we are qualified for the drawing, but we didn’t get there early at 9h AM for registration. Oh well, we had fun and enjoyed the foods. Ben was afraid of Marty the Moose. The balloon artist was very awesome. He made  very creative colorful animal balloon, for kids and adults.  We saw octopus, monkey on coconut tree, ladybug in flower…  He made them as hat, or bracelet too.  So cool! We lined up but for like 30 minutes plus and the line didn’t move like an inch. It was nap time for Ben so we headed home.

Market Watch
The Big K-Mart in the Chapel Hill mall is closing. Everything goes on sale for 20-30% off. We got swimsuits for Grace, just in time for her swimming lesson next week. Ben also had a truck toy.

Found Cranium WOW edition board game at Target for $10 (was $32). More on that later.

Sports
The weeds are totally defeated! At first glance though I thought it was a mission impossible. The weeds grow so fast, faster than I pull them. And the lawn also. I thought I just mowed them last week or so. But after about an hour and half, with many sweat, heavy pushing lawn mower, victory was claimed. Homeowner for the win!

Scheduled throw-and-hit baseball game with Grace was postponed due to afternoon shower.

Special Report
The apple tree bears fruits this year. Approximately 30-40 fruits are counted. We will keep you updated with this special apple report.

Entertainment
Cranium board game was a blast! It’s like a mix of Gesture, Pictionary, Trivia, Scrambles put together. Definitely more fun if there are more people (not kids) to participate. But it was nonstop laughing for us on a Sunday afternoon.
