His business work here in Colorado Springs is finished so he goes back home. Couple months was a short period of time, but relationship definitely developed. Here is a picture of “anh Tri” said farewell to the church; he was happy that he found our church and thanked everyone for the warm welcoming and hospitality. It was nice to meet you, anh Tri! We also celebrate all the birthdays in the 2nd quarter of the year, hence the balloon decoration in the background.

Yesterday after work, I went to a friend’s house to help setup his computer. An evening thunderstorm just rolled in right around the time the sun set, which painted a beautiful picture in the sky. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots from his house. Just few minutes later, it came pouring down hard and flooded the street.

After finished the work, his wife had prepared an amazing dish of broiled clams and snails and invited me to stay for dinner. The foods smell so good, and of course I couldn’t (or wouldn’t) resist. With hint of lime, lemongrass, ginger, roasted garlic, it’s so wonderfully flavored and tasty. I haven’t had snails for a long long time. Usually, we eat the snails with a toothpick, picking them off from their shells. I aplogize the picture was a bit blurry, because I was overjoyed that my hands shaking. LOL!

I also learned a trick that when cooking the snails, you have to watch them so they don’t get overcooked. The problem is when you cook them for too long, the snail will dry out or go deep inside the shell, and then there goes your dinner! You will end up throw them out, or have a hammer ready to break that hard shell.
